Tamara

I feel so blessed to  have been brought up in an Italian home in multi-cultural South Africa and that I had the opportunity to travel quite extensively including Thailand, the Middle East and much of Europe. My passion for people, their homes and their dreams for the future, coupled with my determination and attention to detail, makes real estate a natural fit for me. Prior to becoming a Realtor, I spent 10 years as Co-Director of an Interior Design firm in Johannesburg.

Every single day I am grateful that four years ago we took an enormous leap of faith in moving to the USA for a brighter future for our children.

Finding the perfect home or investment property as well as staging and selling a home gives me a great sense of accomplishment and makes me genuinely happy.

After having visited various states and having lived in two, I can honestly say Florida has stolen our hearts and is the place me and my family proudly call HOME.

Emily

For most of my life, I lived in the state of California. While it is where much of my family still resides and is where most of my memories are, my husband and I felt compelled to move on to build another life for ourselves and our children. We spent some time living in Idaho too but ultimately ended up in wonderful, sunny Florida! I know what it’s like to relocate more than once and to readjust to living in a new area. My husband and I have traveled internationally and have spent lots of time researching places, schools and job opportunities trying to find the best fit for us and our children.

I understand that people have a lot of anxiety about moving and all the unknowns. My job is to help you make a smooth move and provide as much knowledge and assistance as possible. As a mother of 6 children, I especially understand the importance of having a home that suits your needs – from contract to close and having the key in your hand. As your Realtor, I will be there every step of the way. Rooted deeply in family, friends, God, and country, my commitment is to always be the professional you hired.

The South West

Southwest Florida, including the areas of Naples, Estero, and the surrounding region, has a rich history dating back to the indigenous Calusa people, who inhabited the area for thousands of years before European contact. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, the area was explored by Spanish and American traders and eventually settled by homesteaders.

Naples was founded in the late 1800s by wealthy industrialist and philanthropist Walter Haldeman, who was drawn to the area’s natural beauty and mild climate. The city quickly developed into a popular winter destination for the wealthy, and it remains a desirable location for retirees and vacationers to this day.

Estero, located just north of Naples, was also settled in the late 1800s and is known for its agricultural history, particularly in the production of tropical fruits such as pineapples and tomatoes. The village of Estero was officially incorporated in 1914.

The surrounding region, including Bonita Springs, Marco Island, and Sanibel Island, also has a rich history and continues to be a popular tourist and residential area known for its beaches, outdoor activities, and natural beauty.

In recent years, Southwest Florida has seen a significant population increase, as well as a growth in business and industry, particularly in areas such as healthcare, education, and technology.

Reasons To Choose SW Florida

Warm Weather

The weather in Southwest Florida is generally warm and humid, with mild winters and hot summers. The area has a tropical climate, and is known for its sunshine and mild temperatures. Winter temperatures typically range from the mid-50s to the low 70s, with occasional cold fronts bringing cooler temperatures. Summers tend to be hot and humid, with temperatures typically in the low 90s. Southwest Florida also experiences a rainy season during the summer months, with occasional thunderstorms and tropical storms.

Beautiful Beaches

Naples beaches are known for their white sugar sand and clear Gulf of Mexico waters. The water temperature in these waters range from low to mid 60’s in winter and up to 80s during the summer months, making it more desirable to swim all year round compared to the Atlantic ocean on the East Coast.
Some of the most popular beaches between Naples and Bonita Springs include Vanderbilt Beach, Naples Beach, Clam Pass Park Beach, Barefoot Beach and Bonita Beach Dog Park. The beaches of Estero Island, which includes Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island, are famous for their shells. Marco Island is a barrier island located at the southern end of the Ten Thousand Islands. It’s known for its beautiful beaches and watersports, such as boating, fishing and jet-skiing.

Back to Nature

Southwest Florida is home to many nature parks that offer visitors a chance to explore the area’s diverse natural beauty. Some of the most popular nature parks in the region include:

– Baker Park: A great place to take the entire family with nature trails, playgrounds, boardwalks along the water, lots of fish and wildlife to see, plus some of the park has fishing available. Pet friendly, bike friendly and tons of space to picnic, fly a kite or just run around and play. There’s a kayak/paddle boat launching area and a gorgeous bridge over Gordon River that connects to other trails behind the park. Dolphins have even been spotted by visitors crossing the bridge!

– Freedom Park: What a beautiful memorial with several ponds and abundant wildlife. Besides the fish and reptiles, you may see river otters & swamp rabbits.

– Everglades National Park: This vast park covers more than 1.5 million acres and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including alligators, panthers, and manatees. Visitors can explore the park’s wetlands by boat, tram, kayak, or on foot.

Economy & Job Markets

Tourism is a major driver of the economy in Southwest Florida, with millions of visitors coming to the area each year to enjoy its beaches, nature parks, and other attractions. The tourism industry supports a wide range of jobs, including those in hotels, restaurants, and retail.

Healthcare is also a growing industry in Southwest Florida, with many hospitals and medical centers in the area. The region is home to a large number of retirees, which has led to an increase in demand for healthcare services, and this has led to the creation of new jobs in the healthcare sector.

Real estate is also a key industry in Southwest Florida, with many people looking to purchase or rent property in the region. The area’s growing population and strong economy have led to a strong demand for housing, which has created jobs in construction, sales, and property management.

Another important sector in the area is the retail and service industry, as the region is home to many shopping centers, retail parks and strip malls, which support a significant number of jobs.

Tamara Mota helped me purchase my dream villa in Naples by the beach! She made the entire process so smooth and seamless. Tamara followed up with me every step of the way, making me feel like I was her most important client.

She was honest and informed me of what to expect ahead with the closing process. I will absolutely recommend Tamara to my friends and family.

Tamara listened to what was important to me, all my weird quirks on what I wanted and didn’t want, what I could want if the price was right, etc. She took me in the snow to see houses, took me in the rain, and took Saturdays for me. She’s committed. Now that I have lived in my house that Tamara and I picked out, she asks for updates, wants photos of how we’ve decorated, and genuinely cares about me as a human. When we choose to sell this house and buy another, Tamara will be our realtor without a doubt.
